Comic-Con at Home is happening again July 23–25—and the programming is FREE to watch online! How cool is that?
We’re excited to present a panel for Comic-Con at Home, followed by a Q&A livestream on Zoom.
Legacy of Aztec Culture: 500 Years After the Fall
Five hundred years ago this year (1521-2021), the Aztec Empire fell to Spanish invaders. But far from being wiped out, “Aztec” culture still exists and has a huge impact on the world we live in. Our panelists are all creators making Aztec-themed projects in comics, video games, animation, and other media. We’ll talk about how indigenous history and culture influence our stories, the cultural impact Aztecs continue to have centuries after their empire collapsed, and how our understanding of their culture has evolved.

Sofia Alexander, animation creator/producer (Onyx Equinox)
